Rates
Prior to an initial appointment, I offer a 30 minute complementary phone call to discuss the fit between what I offer and what you are needing. That also allows you an opportunity to get a sense of me and how it feels connecting. I think it is so important to get that initial sense of a therapist before diving in for the first time. I am glad to offer that to you! Just reach out through the Contact tab!
My rates are:
EFT Couples Therapy (75-90 mins.): $225 (Sessions 5+ will be this fee.)
EFT Initial Evaluation Session for Couples Therapy (75-80+ mins.): $185 (Sessions 1 & 2)
EFCT Individual Assessment for EFT Couples (120-150 mins.): $300 (Sessions 3-4)
EFT Couples Therapy - extended (110+ mins.): $300 (The standard/default is the 75-90 minute session length. Extended sessions are the exception.)
Individual therapy (53-60 mins.): $150.00
EFT Family Therapy (prices are the same as for the respective Couples Therapy codes)
EFT Supervision/Consultation (50 mins): $150 (For therapists wanting to learn and get support with the model of EFT, or learn to become an EFT supervisor. See my Supervision website for more details.)
Late cancellation fee (for non-emergency reason, with less than 24 hours’ notice): One half (50%) of the published rate for the session being cancelled (e.g. $112.50 for 75-90 min. couples session; $75.00 for individual session)

Administrative Fees - Copying Records, Letter Writing, Researching/Gathering Resources for Clients, etc.: $150 hourly, pro-rated based on 15 minute increments
Legal: $400 Hourly, pro-rated based on 15 minute increments. This includes any requests for records or issues that require legal consultation. Fees for services that involve courtroom testimony, including time in preparation and travel, are charged at a higher rate. Insurance would not reimburse for any of these expenses.

Sessions may be paid for through Private Pay or Out-of-Network reimbursement.
Insurance: I am not in network with any insurances. I am an Out-of-Network (OON) Provider with Highmark, Capital Blue Cross, other Blue Cross/Blue Shield plans, Aetna, Beacon Health/Carelon/Value Options, Cigna/Evernorth, UBH/Optum, Quest, UPMC, and others. Medicare and Magellan do not allow an out-of-network option (sadly!), so those would be fully private pay.
Check with your insurance about your out-of-network (OON) benefits. And have your insurance confirm that I am an OON provider for your insurance.
Once we begin therapy, I provide you with an “Insurance Reimbursement Statement” (some insurance companies call it a “superbill”) automatically on the second day of each month directly into your client portal. You then get the superbill(s) from your client portal and submit them to your insurance company for OON reimbursement. They have all the codes on them which your insurance should need.
The process is that you would pay me directly after each session, and then you would submit your superbill directly to your insurance. If you have met your OON deductible, any reimbursement from them would come directly to you. Be aware they may or may not reimburse you for the full amount of my fee. For information on accessing your Insurance Reimbursement Statements (superbills) in your portal, see that section below.
If you do plan to submit superbills to your insurance, do so regularly and often. Don’t save them all up and submit a year’s worth at a time! That may be more likely to trigger an audit, and if there is any modification needed by the insurance company on what is on the superbill, it is better to know sooner rather than later.
Sliding Fee Scale: I reserve a set number of client slots for reduced fees in the interest of making psychological services accessible to those with significant financial hardship. If you really want therapy with me and private pay/OON would be out of reach, I have a limited number of reduced fee slots (which may or may not be open when you inquire), or I could make a referral to another EFT therapist who has a lower fee. Contact me if you are needing one of these options.
If you are wanting the shorter 50-60 minute couples sessions, you are welcome to explore another EFT therapist who sees clients for that length of time and takes your insurance. Contact me if you are needing recommendations.

Questions about any of this? Reach out and ask! I will be glad to help!
Accessing Your Insurance Reimbursement Statements (Superbills) in Your Client Portal:
To find your Insurance Reimbursement Statements (superbills) after you have begun therapy with me, follow this process:
Go to the top of this page and click on the “Client Portal” button. That will allow you to request a link be sent to your email.
Go to your email and click on that link to enter your portal.
Within your portal, go to the “Billing & Payments” tab. It will open up some options.
Now click the “Billing Documents” tab.
From there, scroll down until you see the “Insurance Reimbursements” button. Click on that.
You will then see a list of dates (the second of each month), each with a green “Statement for Insurance Reimbursement” for the previous month’s sessions.
Click on each green statement to download or print.
From there, provide those to your insurance company following their protocols for requesting OON reimbursement.
Let me know if you have more questions about accessing your superbills from me.
Policies
Your appointment spot is a weekly spot (every week same time) and it is reserved just for you. Please respect that by blocking it out on your calendar and showing up promptly at the start time.
Please provide 48-hours in advance notice of a cancellation. Notice of cancellation may be either by email or voicemail.
Late cancellations (less than 24 hours prior to appointment) or missed appointments, regardless of the reason (unexpected conflict in schedule, etc.), with the exceptions of outage of internet connection and power (since this is teletherapy) or sudden illness, will be subject to a charge of one half (50%) of the published rate for the session being cancelled (see the Rates information above) .
Two no-shows in a row may result in discharge from therapy.
You may end counseling at any time, and whenever you get ready to end counseling, I ask that you consider coming back for one last session. That final closure session is important for consolidating your gains, reviewing how you have grown and changed, helping you think about next steps so you launch well, and saying goodbye!
Financial Policy:
I expect clients to pay something toward their bill every session. It is ideal if you pay your full amount at the time of service each week. This is part of how we take care of each other: I provide a service to care for you and your relationship, and you honor that by paying your fee each week. The reality is that I don’t get paid until you pay.
If you are not able to pay the full fee for a session within one week of that session, please discuss your circumstances with me and if you need to arrange a payment plan.
If you do not have a payment plan, and get behind by two session fees’ worth and do not pay in full before the next scheduled session, we may need to pause or end counseling. Part of my caring for you is also making sure you don’t get sunk under a huge bill. That wouldn’t be good for your relationship either! So, if my fees are not a good fit for what you can afford, please know there are other options out there and we can try to find you another EFT therapist whose fees would be more doable for you.
Payment may be made in the following ways::
1) HSA (Health Savings Account) Card
2) FSA Card
3) Credit Card
4) Debit Card
5) Check (Made payable to: “Growing Connections PLLC”)~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Good Faith Estimate
Under the law, health care providers need to give individuals who are not enrolled in a participating group or individual health plan, or an uninsured (self-pay) individual, an estimate of their bill for health care items and services before those items or services are provided.
You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any health care items or services upon request or when scheduling such items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.
If you schedule a health care item or service at least 3 business days in advance, make sure your health care provider or facility gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing within 1 business day after scheduling. If you schedule a health care item or service at least 10 business days in advance, make sure your health care provider or facility gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing within 3 business days after scheduling. You can also ask any health care provider or facility for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service. If you do, make sure the health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing within 3 business days after you ask.
If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more for any provider or facility than your Good Faith Estimate from that provider or facility, you can dispute the bill.
Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate and the bill.
For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises/consumers, email FederalPPDRQuestions@cms.hhs.gov, or call 1-800-985-3059.
